Poetry #2:

SILENCE

I stopped and listened to the silence,

heard the silence,

the noisy silence

I heard the worlds within worlds, the noisy chatter of a million unborn thoughts,

a million words unspoken, loves unsworn,

a million flowers unfolding

I heard the rush of stars, the sound of suns exploding,

and the whisper

of a newborn’s first breath

SPUN

So many words
Have spun from my mind
my fingers
my soul
my heart
Not one...
nor two or even ten

Not one million stars
flung from my breast
Can speak my Love
